2013 RendezvousThe 2013 Rendezvous, to be held on Friday, May 24th, will mark the beginning of the 12th anniversary of the Leverick Bay Poker Run. Its purpose is to coordinate the safe passage of all participating vessels from Fajardo, Puerto Rico to our main base in Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda, making one stop on Scrub Island, BVI. The BVI Immigration Department will be on hand to clear all boats. We estimate that times of arrival on Scrub Island will be between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm. Once your boat has been cleared enjoy of of the Welcome VIP Cocktail and Lunch hosted by the BVI Tourism Board along with Scrub Island, which is set to start at 11:30 am. The Rendezvous is a great sponsorship opportunity at all participating stops, as sponsors will be able to coordinate promotions for all the estimated 40 plus boats. The main idea of the Rendezvous is to ensure a safe passage from Puerto Rico to the BVI's and to keep all the boats together and organized. The 2013 Rendezvous is meant to be an exciting way to unite the international Poker Run community and to ensure the safe navigation of all participants to Virgin Gorda. Poker Run organizers, local authorities and the U.S. Coast Guard will help coordinate the Rendezvous. RENDEZVOUS LOGISTICSDuring the Rendezvous, event staff will work with the sponsors to coordinate advertising campaigns targeted at those participating in the event. The event staff will distribute VIP badges to all sponsors participating in the Rendezvous.
Individuals holding the VIP badge will receive special discounts, goodies, and access to the Rendezvous main ports (Fajardo, St. Thomas, and Tortola). The exact nature of these discounts, goodies, and entries will be announced weeks prior to the 2013 Rendezvous, as this depends on the finalization of all sponsorship and production agreements. |
